Dashboard started buckling around passenger airbag. Attempted to glue dorsum together, did not piece of work. Repair store said wasn't worth it to fix it. Finally bought and installed a cloth cover for entire dash. Between the cover and re- glueing the warped edges this stock-still the problem.
Update from May v, 2022: The dashboard has recently started to buckle again. Non to the extent originally but the dash is not shine.

One 24-hour interval out of the blue, I noticed the dash on my car started coming autonomously most the forepart heater vent. I found information technology very abrasive considering when I would turn on the windshield defrost the air wouldn't correctly defrost my front end windshield. This summertime I took it as well an upholstery shop and they tried to gum information technology back into place as much as they could. Information technology cost almost $150 bucks but it looks much better than information technology did earlier. Then not too long after that, my dash started warping by airbag. I like my fusion. It has been extremely dependable but the unsightly wait of the dash makes me cringe. When I dear cars, I proceed them forever. Only if it would cost me 3000 or more than to replace the dash, that would make a great downward payment on a new car.

Got in my car this morning and noticed the dash bulging around the passenger air pocketbook. I'k worried that the air bag will deploy while driving the car or not deploy if there is an accident. I did not discover any recalls on this for my make, model, & year. I reported the problem to NHTSA via safercar.gov since I had seen that others were having the same effect.

Oasis't had many problems with the auto but find the nuance material around the airbag is lifting and I have ran into 4 other people with the aforementioned car and year having the aforementioned problem. I want to know if this is a recall or non because this is something that is non covered under warranty and I am not paying i,600 dollars to go this fix while I am notwithstanding making payments on it. This outcome forth with the lock on my driver side door is starting to give me 2d thoughts virtually Ford cars. I practise not see myself ownership another Ford again because information technology seems like the material put into the car is not practiced textile and can be very annoying and makes the motorcar look unattractive. I have e'er heard Ford cars were good cars simply I am definitely having second thoughts.

No 1 is willing to endeavour and re-glue the dash embrace because it is peeling around the border of the passenger side air bag (side closest to the passenger seat). Because there is a foam rubber pad under the cover itself, there's no guarantee that the glue would adhere sufficiently to fix the problem. And it keeps getting worse with each passing month.
Extremely disappointed with the Ford quality engineers in this detail case. It is ruining an otherwise positive ownership experience on this used vehicle that nosotros bought from a Ford dealer in 2022.
Although we love the ride, performance and handling of the all wheel drive V6 Fusion, we'll probably dump the vehicle rather than purchase a new dash cover.
Certainly hope our 2022 Focus holds upwardly improve.

Actually, the dash peeling is exactly similar other complaint nigh dash. Information technology is separating around passenger air bag. I have talked twice to Corporate Ford and been rejected for help to gear up problem. I believe it is a danger. What if airbag blows? Ford'southward better idea is to screw their customers. I guess they think their cars should only last less than v yrs.

Took the car to the dealer when trouble showtime started. The Ford technician said it is caused from the inferior glue that is used in Mexico when the automobile is built. The store manager said that the unabridged nuance would have to be replaced to fix the trouble at a cost of $2500. The car is beyond the 36,000 mile warranty and would not be covered. I feel it shouldn't matter. It'due south not a working part. It's the nuance. It does nothing only sit in that location...and separate. I feel it is a safety outcome because the problem is between the airbag and the forepart seat passenger. This is the first Ford I have ever owned and volition be my last. The quality is far inferior to the Nissan I traded in for this piece of crap.
